Our Journey to Empower Nonprofits
Hi, I’m Dr. Laureen Wishom, Master Grant Specialist & Principal Consultant
Before starting Solution4Non-Profits in 2001, I spent more than two decades working with a variety of oil & gas, health, senior services and social service organizations. Despite their differences, nearly all of these organizations had two similarities that probably sound familiar: 1) they were doing amazing work; and 2) they were so understaffed and overwhelmed that they couldn’t dedicate the time needed to win more grants.
I’ve train non-profit leaders, board members, fund development staff and volunteers in areas of grant writing, strategic planning, board training, making the ask, identifying and securing strategic partnerships and collaborations, and communicating their impact. My efforts have increased organizational funding, increased community presence and relevance to garner and sustain financial support.
I have adapted proven organizational strategies that work within an organization of any size or position during startup. These strategies help set non-profits in position to not just deliver programs and services, but to also measure and articulate impact to funders, donors, collaborators and volunteers. Also, these non-profits are able to identify and engage the right board members for proper oversight, and support fundraising activities. Some of my results include:

Putting clients in position to attract funders and supporters, partners, collaborators, resource providers, corporations, media, etc. This is done via a clear plan that includes a clear scope of work with goals and measurable targets to meet the financial needs of the program and organizational operations.
