Our Journey to Empower Non-Profits!
Hello, I'm Dr. Laureen Wishom, a Master Grant Specialist and Principal Consultant and owner of Solutons4Non-Profits.
I am an expert in grant writing, fundraising, marketing, and community building with more than 25 years of experience. While fostering creativity, innovation, and building high-performing teams, I have raised millions, educated thousands at live events, launched a non-profit of my own, and actually managed senior centers.
Over the years, I have contributed to the growth and management of non-profit organizations by developing strategic plans, innovative programs, grant writing, and managing budgets.
Nearly all of these non-profits shared two similarities despite their apparent differences: 1) they were doing amazing work; and 2) they were so understaffed and overwhelmed that they couldn’t devote the time needed to secure more grants and run their non-profit effectively.
Grant writing, strategic planning, board training, making the ‘ask’, securing strategic partnerships and collaborations, and communicating the impact to non-profit boards, staff, and volunteers are some of my areas of expertise. My efforts have increased organization funding, community presence, and the relevance to garner and sustain more financial support.

With my experience, I have adapted proven organizational strategies that work for any size or position within an organization during the startup phase. These strategies help non-profits deliver programs and services and measure and articulate impact to funders, donors, collaborators, and volunteers. They can also identify and engage the right board members for proper oversight and support of fundraising activities.
Some of my results include:

Putting clients in a position to attract funders and supporters, partners, collaborators, resource providers, corporations, the media, etc. This is done via a clear plan that includes a clear scope of work with goals and measurable targets. This is done to meet the financial needs of the program and organizational operations.
